United Way Young Leaders’ Build Your Own Brunch

On April 8, United Way of Miami-Dade Young Leaders hosted an interactive cooking and eating experience, Build Your Own Brunch B.Y.O.B., modeled after VeritageMiami’s wildly popular Interactive Dinner. Guests prepared a three-course brunch, under the tutelage of some of Miami’s most innovative chefs, Eileen Andrade of Finka Table & Tap, Jhonnatan Contreras of Toro Toro Miami and Scott Linquist of Coyo Taco and Olla. Guests created their own food pairings with unlimited wine, spirits, cocktails and brews from Zonin, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Atlantico Rum and Concrete Beach Brewery. Event proceeds benefit United Way of Miami-Dade’s work in education, financial stability and health to build a #StrongerMiami.
While chefs lead guests through each course, Johnson & Wales culinary students served as sous chefs and sommeliers at each table. In between courses, guests enjoyed a live auction, featuring exclusive foodie items and experiences.
